I am chugging away at the Fairytale Yellow Sweater – and it
is going smoothly and quickly. A truly
enchanted project! I just hope it does
not turn into a frog (ha ha! an unintentional knitting pun mixed in with a literary
metaphor! it doesn’t get much wittier
than that!).
Meanwhile, I seem not to have sewn up the Forbidden Summer Sweater. I wake each morning and think maybe today
will be the day, but so far…Well, I know I am up against a deadline (Madrona Fiber
Arts Retreat – one week away) which means I can rely on a nice burst of panic
in about 5 days. Why waste my limited
supply of self-discipline on something that can be carried through with adrenalin?
Sarah and I are diligently working on Sonja’s Pelty
Stole. Progress can be measured in quarter-inches.
This kind of project cannot be left to adrenalin (we’re not going to be
able to bust it out in the eleventh hour).
Caffeine is the answer. Better
start now (3 weeks until Stitches West ).
Fire up the espresso machine, George!
