I always get energized at this time of year – all those
back-to-school years, I suppose.  And I
start sorting and organizing and up-dating – and we ended up at the hardware
store getting new lighting fixtures.
While we were there, I saw some debonair fabric storage boxes in the closet
organization aisle and thought: perfect for yarn!

The problem is that I frequently buy a mix of coordinating
yarns for pieces (called “Ferocities TBD” — i.e. to be designed) and –

And, no, the problem is not
the yarn buying – and, yes, family, I did hear you snickering!

The problem is that I end up storing them in the plastic
bags from the store or in grocery bags or whatever I have on hand.  These bags end up piled higgledy-piggledy in
my studio space.

I am constantly shifting the bags around, hunting through
them, stuffing them into other bags, mislaying them.  Not a good system.  Enter the fabric storage boxes:

Lovely!  Tidy (each
Ferocity TBD nestled with its yarns together and not getting mixed up with
other projects).  Clean.  Easy to see (less likely to be forgotten! it
happens…).  Easy to access.  And, as you can see, there is even room for
more yarn!
