St. Patrick’s Day always
feels like part of Spring’s official parade – sort of like the Grand Marshal
riding in a snazzy convertible right after the banner and the drum corps. I suppose the daffodils are right in there
too.
On Monday, Sarah and I took the babies to the park and it
was soooo pleasant out. I had my first
outdoor knitting of the season! We start
teaching our Lace Workshop class this evening – and with Daylight Savings Time
already begun, the evenings feel like extensions of the afternoon. The days do
feel longer.
I have been knitting the Gull Pi Shawl and am reminded how
much fun lace-knitting can be! And we
all know how I adore fine lace yarn anyway.
Even if it wasn’t fun, I would knit lace just to play with the
yarn! I read today that the Empress
Josephine had 300-400 lace shawls! Now, that
is what I call a royal treasury!
