1)      I finished knitting it and blocking it, like, 2 weeks ago

2)      I have had “Sew qu’mitl” on my to do list everyday for, well, 2 weeks

3)      I told Sarah I would sew it together, um, 2 weeks ago

4)      It is only 22” of sewing, for heaven’s sake

5)      If I sew it together I get to start knitting the lace edging  (I love knitting lace edging)

6)      If I sew it together and knit the edging, I will get to wear it (and I could use a new qu’mitl in my closet)

7)      If I sew it together and knit the lace edging, I can finish writing up the pattern directions for it (it is a design project)

8)      If I sew it together, knit the edging, wear it, and have the pattern written up, then when a knitter says “oooh! I would love to make that!” I would sell a pattern (this is a business as well as a passion)

9)      If I sit and stare at it while sewing it together, I might come up with a better name for it than “The One-Needle Q’mitl” (sounds like something the Cat in the Hat dragged in!)

10)   It is only 22” of sewing, for heaven’s sake

11)   It is only 22” of sewing, for heaven’s sake

12)   It is only 22” of sewing, for heaven’s sake

Are you sure it is 22″. Remember the longer you wait, the longer it gets.

Nahhh, I don’t think you should sew it together at all. It does not sound like you really want to!

You will feel so wonderful once it is done and off your list (says the woman who never seems to finish a project anymore…)
