I have my yarn and am knitting away on the EZ Green Sweater (mine is not green, but variegated blue, but what's in a name…?).
"Codex" (color: Spiel im Morgengrauen) from The Sanguine Gryphon
52% silk/48% Blue-faced Leicester wool
The yarn is GORGEOUS! Silky, but with body. And the colors are fabulous — like the sky with a storm coming on, maybe.
I am excited about the pattern (in a totally "knitting nerd" way). It is full of characteristic EZ techniques and I am bound and determined to execute every one of them. Sort of an homage. And, of course, because they are so practical.
I already did the Provisional Cast-On — something I seldom do (which is probably why I screwed it up and had to rip it out and re-do it — with a resource book on my knee this time). And I am chugging away at the stockinette hem, using individual thumb-loop cast-ons for the increases — instead of the "make one" which uses the running thread of the row below (which is my usual increase of choice).
And there are going to be STEEKS! But I am trying not to think about that too much now.
I did have to adjust the numbers because my measurements are really between two of the listed sizes (sort of..in a pretty pear sort of way..). But I think I have the first part all figured out now and I will adjust the numbers of the latter parts as I get to them.
