I have snuck off to my computer for a quick post. I am lucky to find my computer un-occupied and even luckier that no one caught me en route and lured me into, say, a game of badminton or a bout of kitchen cleaning or a glass of wine or the bathing of small children or an urgent and somewhat philosophical conversation that might well last til bedtime…
This is Planet Family.
It happens in the summer when everyone is sort of around all the time — not that everyone is here all the time. They sort of take it in shifts. So, there is always a lively crowd about (and some who are not and who need to be called and/or texted regularly so that they keep up with everything that is going on).
Not much knitting time. Especially for anything that needs much brain. Kind of a good time for stockinette — as long as I don't have to pay too much attention to increases or decreases.
So, lace knitting is languishing. But I seem to be managing a certain amount of family knitting. Socks for Geoff who is going to London in September. Layette items for Sonja's baby (we just found out that he is a boy!).
Okay, I gotta go. Everyone is in the kitchen making dinner and I think I might sneak in a little lace knitting after all!
