Does everyone have a favorite sweater or sweatshirt, ratty and worn and irreplaceable?  Mine is a treadbare mossy green cardigan bought at Old Navy a decade ago.  I wear it around the house on a daily basis — and the family thinks it is a horror.  But it suits me — just the right weight, sleeve length, feel.  Like a second skin.

When the left elbow wore through, I mended it as best I could and then patched it with knitted leaves.

Now, the right elbow has worn through.  So, I mended it as best I could and patched it with knitted morning glories!
