I confess that I am having serious Christmas Knitting thoughts & plots — but I am determined to enjoy autumn and autumn knitting thoroughly before immersing myself in the annual holiday frenzy!

And since summer lingered until mid-October. I was toodling along knitting lace without giving hardly a thought to cozy wooly autumnmmmmm projects.  Fortunately, I had some Mochi Plus in the most searingly unmistakeably New England hillside (straight from a seed store catalog) fall leaves colorway and Eleanor Roosevelt's mitten pattern handy — so once the temperature dipped and the rains came, I was good to go!

And since I had plenty of the Mochi Plus yarn, I designed a matching scarf:
