George & I are back from North Carolina where we welcomed our new grand-daughter Evelyn! She was born on Oct. 27 — all went well and continues well for both mama and baby. It was wonderful to be with Sarah & Jeff, Max, Gwen & little Evelyn for 2 weeks.
Sonja and her son Owen (who will be 2 next week) came with us. So there were 9 of us in the house! Busy times! Cooking, kid wrangling, baby snuggling, Halloween-ing… And, yes, a little knitting in the quieter interludes.
And Evelyn has some lovely hand-knits in her wardrobe already — these were made by Sarah (the football outfit was her Halloween costume).
