I have come to believe that winter days really are shorter! At least, I seem to get less “daytime” work done. Fortunately the evenings are longer — and that is when I do most of my knitting. So, my “To Do” list suffers, but I am making good progress on my knitting projects 🙂
The Heart Bonnet looks both like a heart and like a bonnet — so I have apparently got my figures figured right! Just have the I-cord bind-off and ties to do.
Gwen’s Flamingo has a body and a neck. Several short rows on metal double-pointed needles have tested both my dexterity and my patience! I like the pattern, but will be playing around with the beak to make it more realistic. And I am adding wings (the designer chose not to have wings, but I want them — and I have some fun yarns to play with!). Gwen checks in with me on a daily basis about my progress — smart girl!
In celebration of the Seahawks playing in the Super Bowl (a decisive victory that has the entire state of Washington in a tizzy still!), I bought Lorna’s Laces Seahawks Shepherd Sock yarn and have been designing my own ‘Hawks Socks 🙂
My Nordic slippers are knit up — just have to sew in the lining and knit the I-cord ties.
No photo of Evelyn’s Yxma Blanket since it just looks like a blobby pink bag scrunched up on the circular needle — but it is coming along as well.
Also no photo of Sarah’s cotton dishcloths. 3 are done and the 4th is a special surprise design that will make her smile!
