Originally this was the Autumn Q’mitl. But after I finished it, the striations and colors made me think of sunsets and sunrises. After much (probably too much) thought “Sunrise” won out. I do not know if the photos do it justice, quite frankly! The Debbie Bliss Angel silk/mohair (green and orange) and the luxury Noro Shiraito yarns are fabulously soft and warm. Perfect for our cool Spring! I adore the dark brown alpaca yarn from Silver Rose Ranch http://www.srralpacas.com. It has a wonderful twist that makes the willow lace edging perfect. Happy sigh 🙂
The beauty of Q’mitls is that they absolutely come alive when you put them on. You can shift them around to hang more square or more pointed — or use a shawl pin to close up the top a bit if you want. I wear them all the time. It is delightful to have a new one for Spring!

I would love to see it shifted around so that you have both the stripes/lace showing with the polka dots!
