Yesterday was the Feast of the Epiphany, Twelfth Night, the official last day of the Christmas Season. Today is the day I seriously consider taking down the tree. And cleaning up the Elf Room (aka My Study) where wrapping and all manner of Christmas secret-ness took place throughout December — and which has been a complete mess since Christmas Eve. Clearly the Elves did not give up without a fight! Today George will unplug the colored lights in the front of the house — tho if this murky fog persists I will be tempted to turn them on now in the middle of the day and let the neighbors think what they will.
On the Knitting Front, there is still some Christmas Knitting to finish. I am feeling some pressure there, I confess. And already other knitting requests are pouring in! By which I mean Gwen has asked me to knit her a wolf pup and Sonja texted me last night that Colette has outgrown her adorable cloches.
Hmm. Put away Christmas? Or knit?
Perhaps I will just shut the Elf Room door again and let the tree stand brazenly lit in the dining room for one more day while I knit my way through some part of a quiet winter morning.
