Probably any other knitter-blogger would have put up photos of her 5 grandchildren wearing the adorable animal hats and hand mitts (the older 3) and birdy foot booties (the younger 2) she knit them for Christmas by now. Or a photo of her happy husband sporting his hand-knit Seahawks hat. Or a photo of any and all of the other family members wearing the spiffy football team colored hats we knit for them.
Well, I am sorry.
It seems that whenever someone was wearing the knitted thing, my phone (with which I snap photos) was tied up to the stereo speaker playing Pandora music. Or that person was just heading out the door. Or it was dark (it is dark a lot here these days). Or the person wearing the hat is living on the other side of the country and is wearing it there. Or the hat is sideways on the 3-yr-old so that the bear is facing nearly backward and if I tried to fix it that would only draw the 3-yr-old’s attention to the fact that he was wearing the hat and (since he is kind of wary of it because it is a pretty realistic bear face with a rather bear-ish expression particularly around the eyes) that would probably lead to his removing the hat and refusing or put it on again….
Well, you get the picture. Or, actually, you don’t get a picture.
Okay, the fact that a few hats are not actually done yet…and the fact that the kids’ hand mitts have been sitting in my knitting bag for a week because I can’t seem to get around to hot-gluing the felt paw pads on…well, again, you get the picture. Or actually you don’t. Sorry.
Maybe after things at a little more settled here.

Meanwhile, I am making good progress on the Twigg Knit hats, as well as on Gwen’s wolf pup and a set of knitted leaf coasters for our living room. The Twigg knitting would be coming along faster if I could knit without interruptions because it is the kind of thing I need to “sing” to myself as I go along — to keep the color work count right. And I if I stop, I end up re-counting. And re-counting. And re-counting. So, I really need to be knitting these hats in a nice quiet and well-lit knitting cave. But I persevere. It helps to be a stubborn Finn!
