Well, Madrona is over and the Yarn & Fiber Market is closed. Even as I write, much of the yarn is rolling south to Stitches West in California (wish I was too!)
Not all of it got away however! Sarah and I made two very fruitful trips to the Market. We had intended to go only once, but when we where driving home from Madrona and realized that she had forgotten to buy the Zoom Loom and kits that had captured her imagination, we knew that we had to make a quick dash back the next day. After I spent the evening swatching the Prism Tencel yarn I bought to make up into Stephen West’s Tripartite — and coming to the sad conclusion that it was just not the right yarn for the project (altho it will make a delicious summer top!) — we decided that it was going to be more than a quick dash. So back we went on Friday, making another thorough tour and petting all the yarn again — and heading home in triumph with the Zoom Loom and kits for a friendly dragon and a ferocious fairy, as well as exquisite and spidery-fine Tencel from Just Our Yarn.

Some nice beasty Icelandic (undyed) from Solitude and stunning blue mohair/silk from Jorstad Creek (for a Twigg stitch project I am designing)
Another J.O.Y. Tencel and a cone of Habu copper/bamboo (projects to be decide upon at a later date)
