It is just too hot to knit blankets. Even at night. Sorry, people to whom I owe blankets, but it is just too hot.
Really, it is too hot for wool. Much as I love wool, it is just too hot. I have even temporarily abandoned Fox Paws. (Maybe one could knit a lace-weight wool shawl, but I am just surmising on that)
Really, it is too hot to knit on the back deck — even in the shade.
Fortunately, it is cool in the house. (Not cool enough for blanket knitting, I’m afraid, but cool enough to knit) And fortunately, I have a linen/cotton top on the needles. And a Tencel shawl on the needles. And, most very fortunately, the Shibui Linen yarn arrived yesterday — so I can start crocheting my Floral Summer Mini Poncho.
It is best, too, that both the linen/cotton top and the Tencel shawl are simple knitting — because even inside where it is cool it is too, too summertime-y to think.
Summertiiiiiiiime, and the knitting is easy…

Too Hot for Wool!
