Recuperating from foot surgery is kind of awesome. I pretty much have to sit around all day with my foot up. So, I have been knitting and watching sports and reading and knitting and playing games on my iPad and knitting and watching movies and knitting and building Legos and knitting and coloring and knitting and doing puzzles and knitting and knitting and knitting….well, you get the idea. I am also doing a lot more staring off into space than usual (due to the pain meds). In fact, you could probably insert “and staring off into space” after each “and knitting” to get a more accurate accounting of my days — which would also explain why finished projects are not rolling off my needles daily.
But in between all the staring and knitting, I finished the doll clothes I had promised my grand-daughter Evelyn a couple of months ago! In fact, getting the machine sewing done was of the highest priority last week before my surgery (figuring I could not balance my Bernina on my lap while elevating my foot). And I did indeed get that done — and then finished up the snaps and ribbons and bows on Saturday.
Evvi loves her two babies and now they have a joint wardrobe of 2 everyday dresses, 2 party dresses, and 2 flannel nighties.
Okay, I can tell that I am overdue for some staring off into space. And then, I’m going to get back to my knitting! Someone pass me an ice bag.
