For some reason, I figured the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament would be a great time for me to get caught up. We watch as much of the games as we can — so I loaded up on knitting, hand-sewing, letters to be answered. I thought I would write a couple of blog posts and work on some design projects, too, while I was at it.
Well, I did get caught up — caught up in the games!
And so anything that required me to look away from the TV or engage my brain in any way was out of the question. I could fold laundry and do the simplest knitting — and that was it! We watch the tournament games every year, so I should know this is how it is going to go down. And on the plus side, I did make progress on some of my less riveting projects. It was the ideal setting for stockinette sweater sleeves and the lovely but large Blanket Project of All Eternity (that is not the actual pattern name, so don't go trying to hunt it down on Ravelry by that! It is Stephen West's Kex Blanket)
Now, I have a few days to actually catch up on things (and to stare ruefully at my bracket!) before the games start up again on Thursday. When I will once more become a basketball zombie cranking out row after row of plain knitting 🙂 Go Zags!
