So thank heaven for linen, cotton, and silk 🙂
I continue on my marled linen cardigan — acres of stockinette and a bit mind-numbing (and on a hot, drowsy afternoon, oh man, my eyelids were drooping!). So, I resurrected my linen skirt project from last summer which has a bit of color work and some stimulating short rows.
My cabled cotton/rayon cardigan is the ideal deck-knitting project now. Especially as I am past the sleeve shaping and it is just the cable dance (with some simple waist shaping) all the way to the hem. Cool yarn, interesting but straightforward pattern work. I would love to have it done for our Beach trip in August — so there's my motivation too!
And now with the knitting magazines flaunting their autumn offerings, I can look at the deep orange cabled cardigan hanging from my needles and convince myself that I do not need to even consider an autumn sweater project! (At least not yet…..)
(The bright summery/autumny yarn looks particularly fetching in my new beachy pottery yarn bowl!)
