I have wanted to experiment with weaving on a small scale — and I recently had the opportunity to do so!

The theme for our Puget Sound Revels Gala was “Woven Together In Joy” and I volunteered to make centerpieces for the tables.  I was inspired by the branch weaving in my weaving books — and I have plenty of yarn on hand and some apple trees in the front yard (for the branches).  And I enlisted a few family members to do some of the weaving which helped make each branch weaving unique 🙂

We received a variety of donated vases and filled them with smooth rocks to hold the branches in place and make the centerpieces stable.

I think they suited the event vibe very well!

Lovely! If you wanted to try a loom I have a tabletop one you could borrow.
