If you read my last post, you will know that Sarah and I were working on a project with a deadline (it was actually a soft deadline, not a fly-or-die deadline, but it certainly had us motivated!). Our client hoped to wear her bespoke piece at a fundraising event where we were offering the same service as an auction item — to inspire the bidding.

Now, thanks to our concentrated work, we were able to bring the piece — nearly completed — to the event and show it to her. She loved it! And was so excited about it that she showed it round the room and did indeed inspire the bidding! (We had brought other garments we had designed to display — to give bidders an idea of the possibilities…). Thanks to our gracious client, our “made for you’ knitted garment brought in the highest bid at the auction — $2000! How about that, fiber fans?!!
