I would have thought that by mid-September I would have been
back to blogging 2-3 times a week (instead of once every week-ish). 

Apparently, I did not figure in things like Geoff’s shows
(Bumbershoot and then a showcase in a Seattle night club last weekend), my
parents’ surgeries (and our trips to Portland to see them – my parents, not the
surgeries!), my two week jury duty (am on a trial now – can’t talk about it),
handling both my Fantasy Baseball and Fantasy Football teams at the same time
(hey, there are trophies involved) and the fact that housework is not going to
do itself (no matter how you beg).

The good thing is that while I cannot blog while hanging
around Bumbershoot, traveling to Portland
or sitting in a jury room, these are excellent places to knit.  (One cannot knit and change one’s baseball or
football line-up on one’s iPhone, but one can knit while watching baseball
and/or football on TV – and while one cannot clean the house and knit
simultaneously, one can hide in the living room and knit while some other
responsible adult cooks dinner…).  So, a
goodly amount of knitting has been accomplished blogging-bogging-down
notwithstanding.
