I did make it to Madrona's Yarn Market last weekend!
And I have the photos to prove it 🙂
Sock yarn for Sarah (she actually plans to make socks with it! usually she's doing fingerless gloves or shawls with sock yarn)
Sock yarn for me (the middle one because I had looked in my sock drawer last week and said "Why don't I have any bright yellow socks?")
Natural Gortland/Finn Wool (sport weight) from Jorstad Creek to be knit up into a skirt! The swatch was even more grogeous than the skeins
The same stuff in fingering weight (I was happily seduced by those swatches!)
The most beautiful skein of yarn at Madrona — hand spun & hand dyed merino sock yarn. It is snuggling next to the Gortland/Finn because I had been thinking of using it in the skirt, but I am pretty sure it is too lovely to swish around at a hemline.
Okay — that's the booty! Will tell my Madrona story later.
(My husband had knee replacement surgery a week ago and I have been crazy busy taking care of him and doing the work he usually does around the house — he is chief cook & bottle washer here, so I am spending considerable time in the kitchen! figuring our where everything goes, re-learning how to boil water….The surgery went well & he is doing great, Praise be!)
