I finished the Blues Inverted Cardigan just before we left for North Carolina. So here are a few quick photos. The back views show the piece worn both ways (upside up and upside down — if that makes sense). I really like having the two wearing options. The “longer sleeve” version actually feels cozier. The “shorter sleeve” version has a longer back, but even the shorter back is not too short.
Okay, this is staring to sound like something from Lewis Carroll!
Let us just say that it is a clever silhouette (from designer Jared Flood) that works.
What is on the needles now? Little Evelyn’s “Yzma” blanket, an autumnal Q’mitl, the Blanket Cardigan, a rather neglected triangular scarf, and a dress for Gwen in brilliant cotton yarns.
I really do need to update my sidebar photos — but Sarah is the techno-fairy who does that for me and I don’t think I can, in good conscience, ask her to do so until Evelyn is 3 weeks old.
I am also thinking that the boys need a little hand-knit love as well — perhaps a vest for Max and a Gansey for Owen?
When I showed Gwen that I was knitting her a dress, she mis-heard me and thought I had said I was knitting her a “giraffe”! She was happy when I explained that it was actually a dress — but she told me she would like me to knit her a giraffe as well. (It is always risky to show a project-in-process to the intended recipient — I was immensely relieved that she approved of the colors!)

I love blues! Somehow so many different ones all look amazing together.
