My toes are cozy tonight in socks Sarah just finished! My Christmas gift socks of her own design  (cables and ribs) knit toe up & 2 at a time.  The yarn is shades of green with flecks of orange, yellow, and gold.  Lovely, lovely!

While enjoying my socks, I have been perusing Candace Eisner Strick's new book Knit My Skirt.  It is (clearly) a book of skirt patterns with some very useful information about measurements and such. Just in time for Spring and Summer knitting!  I have been been wanting to knit a skirt for some time and (you will be shocked to learn) have bought yarn for skirts on several occasions.  So, now that I have a great resource book, I am good to go!

Well, okay, I need to finish up a project or 2 (or 5…) before I launch a skirt, but it is something pleasant to think about as the rain hammers away and the wind blows.  A sweet fluttery summer skirt….:)
